Whitehall Financial Data (WFD) is the first database provider to aggregate the full spectrum of institutional and private investors interested in the complete range of alternative investments. Other companies sell databases containing contacts for specific investor categories, such as family offices or endowments. In contrast, WFD’s database covers 12 categories of investors—more than 20,000 contacts—currently looking to invest in hedge funds, funds of funds, and private equity, venture capital, and real estate funds.

WFD covers the globe when it comes to alternative investors. Of the investors in the WFD database, 40% are in North America, 40% are in Europe, and 20% are located in other regions around the world.
WFD’s contact information includes employees’ e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses. Each week, 20 to 40 new contacts are added to the database. As part of the annual subscription service, clients receive immediate access to these new investor leads when they log on.
To ensure investor information is accurate, all investor profiles are updated every 90 days. No other contact database in the market can deliver on this claim.
Providing current and accurate data is only part of the WFD advantage. Just as important are the ten ways WFD lets clients search the database:
Generate a list of investors segregated by their current interest in hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity funds, real estate funds, or long-only funds.
Identify investors interested in distinct strategies, such as global macro, long/short equity, or managed futures/CTA funds.
Search the database by the fund size that investors are looking for. Instantly locate investors looking for funds of a certain size.
Compile a list of investors by their preference for a fund’s track record, for example, funds with less than a 2 year track record, or funds with a 2 to 5 year track record.
Research investor firms by entering a keyword in a company’s name or an employee’s profile.
Create a list of investors by category, such as family offices, endowments, or wealth advisors.
Search the database by investor assets dedicated to alternatives. For instance, investors with $100 to $500 million in assets.
Locate investors in cities nearby or on your firm’s travel itinerary.
Find new contacts in states your firm plans to visit.
Expand your investor base internationally. Currently, the database contains investors from 63 countries.
